Norma embroidered this stunning Crinoline Ladies quilt. An old favourite of mine, I love the romance of the era, although I am forever grateful to live in a time where I am able to wear less restrictive clothing!
It's beautiful, Norma and we appreciate you bringing it in to show us.
Last year Aurifil had a wonderful 2012 Christmas Ornament Hop which featured 12 free patterns for Christmas ornaments by designers such as Gail Pan and Sarah Fielke. The threads used are the wonderful Aurifil Mako 12 threads which is loved by Marg Low and so many of you.
And, as it's 7 months till Christmas Eve, I thought I'd include the link today for us all to start stitching! :-) So here's the link, ladies - happy stitching!

All of the Juniors chose their own fabric and did their own sewing - with a bit of help from Mum, Nan or Aunty! How good are they??

And there is a free pattern available for downloading here.
We have added a "Free Patterns" category on the left of the blog where we will feature any free pattern downloads we find from time to time. Please note that Avonleigh takes no responsibility for any problems experienced with any of these patterns or sites, although we are always happy to try and assist with pattern difficulties. We are doing this in good faith, featuring only our reputable wholesaler websites, in order to add value to the blog. In some cases, we may very well run a class on some of these free patterns as we've fallen in love with them too! :-))
